Weekly Tarot Card – 3 of Wands, 9 of Swords, King of Swords

This morning when I was pulling the weekly tarot card, 3 cards fell out in this order so I chose to provide a 3-card reading for the week.

Perhaps like the wealthy merchant standing with the 3 wands on the cliff, you have plans in motion and are waiting for your “ships to come in.” Although the ships are small and in the distance, the horizon is illuminated and there is hope in the air.

Contrary to the figure who has just awakened from a nightmare. It’s as if the 9 swords hanging in the black night have pierced his mind with dark thoughts. Perhaps you have doubts and fears that invade the optimism. These negative thoughts do not protect you from success or failure. In fact they block the manifestation at hand. Your mind can really play tricks on you. Best to intervene on yourself, break old patterns that no longer contribute and like the figure in bed look to the pretty flowers on the coverlet. There is hope in the air. See those and not the hanging swords.

How will you do this? The King of Swords comes in with his particular blend of mental clarity and intuition. You can be discerning and hopeful at the same time. There he sits with an earnest expression on a throne adorned with crescent moons and butterfly carvings. He welcomes the evolution of dreams to manifestations. You should too.

Weekly Tarot Card – The Moon

The Moon

The Moon Card is all about the reveal. It is nighttime and the full moon is reflected in the light of the sun which sheds it’s rays on the wildlife below. A dog and wolf bark at the moon. A crayfish emerges from the waters.

What is to be revealed? Our civil and wild natures as seen in the dog and wolf respectively seek recognition and understanding. It’s as if they are barking, “See me, hear me, feel me” to the golden silvery light above. The crayfish whose thick shell serves as protection from the elements decides to leave its watery home to walk the perilous path on land. It takes courage to face the unknown but the time is right.

Are we to follow suit and face our fears and illusions? Do we have the courage to look into our shadow self, our defenses, whatever is hidden deep within our subconscious. Let what needs to be revealed rise to the surface. Pay attention to dreams and the keys they hold, the messages from our meditations. Seek integration of light and dark as the moon and sun is reflected in our true nature.

Weekly Tarot Card – Nine of Cups

One of the most wished for cards in the deck, the Nine of Cups signifies good fortune, abundance, culminations. The fellow looks rather smug sitting on his stool with his arms crossed, wearing a fancy red hat in front of the podium stacked with nine beautiful gleaming golden cups. We feel he has a worker quality about him and the red plumed hat is a new acquisition to his wardrobe. He has worked hard for the success he has attained and he does not forget where he came from.

Perhaps you are enjoying the fulfillment of some dreams that have manifested into reality. Success is in the air and you deserve to pat yourself on the back. You worked hard, believed anything was possible, and now you have proof of a benevolent universe. Stay grounded and love every minute as the cycle sets to start again.
