Weekly Tarot Card – The Magician

You’ve got the power! …To manifest your desires. All the tools and resources are at your finger tips. Go create…but remember to connect heaven and earth in your deliberate creation and do not stray far from the benevolent source of all life. White for purity, red for vitality, the four tools of tarot energy–cup, pentacle, sword and wand. Let’s make a garden of beautiful flowers and travel together in a world of light. We’ve got the power!

Weekly Tarot Card – The Tower

Lightning strikes the tower. The crown topples midst the fiery destruction. Two people jump from the burning building to escape peril. One has eyes faced forward, the other is looking up. Where will you look for succor when your world falls apart? Will you seek the earth or heaven? The universe deals us challenges for our growth and expansion. Sometimes these challenges are not so subtle. If you have been dealt a blow in your health, your relationships, your job, your spirits, reframe your fear and despair into one of gratitude so you can capture the lesson and the new knowledge for moving past your present predicament…forward into the light.

Weekly Tarot Card – Temperance

For a good life, it’s all about finding the right mixture. A little bit of this, a little bit of that, add some here, take away some there. The angel pours water from one cup to another. We see this as a repetitive action as she blends all the elements within the flow. With one foot in the water and one on the stones she shows us that the path to a good life is made with a combination of intuition and grounding. An illuminated crown waits for us as we align with the elements of this journey.
This week let us temper our behaviors to forge the middle path and allow a bit of heaven to enter this earthly plane.

Weekly Tarot Card – The Emperor

img_0156There he sits, the wise Emperor, on his throne of stone with the figurines of rams standing guard. He might have a long white beard but his cloak of red hearkens to his vitality and readiness to impart to us all that he has experienced and learned in his many years of ruling. His alert eyes aren’t about to let anything get by him. This is a great card to pull early on in the new year. We are at the start of our plans, resolutions, implementation of new ideas. The Emperor reminds us to build carefully and to put our emphasis on building strong foundations for stability and longevity.

Weekly Tarot Card – The High Priestess Reversed

img_0141Whenever I pull a Major Arcana card reversed I tend to interpret the reversal as a call to take the message of the card inwards. We know the Major Arcana is a group in the tarot deck having to do with great life lessons.  Therefore it stands to reason that the reversal points to an internal focus rather than the customary delays or postponements of everyday situations. Perhaps there is a resistance or lack of awareness of a certain energy or practice. The High Priestess sits on her throne wearing beautiful blue robes the color of spiritual knowledge. She guards the veil to the unknown and those wishing to see beyond are instructed to look within. And so I dedicate 5-10 minutes daily THIS WEEK to meditate and listen to my inner voice. If I don’t hear anything I will look for signs in other phenomena. I will abide within and wait upon my soul. For the High Priestess encourages me with her mystical gaze to peer within for the answers I long to find. Will you join me in this practice?
