Weekly Tarot Card – Five of Pentacles Reversed

Although reversals usually indicate blocks and adverse movement, when the Five of Pentacles appears in a reversed position we rejoice because we know we are moving out of victim consciousness and spiritual poverty. The two beggars are upside down and have no where to look but at the brightly lit pentacles in the stained glass windows of the church. The pentacles certainly catch our eye much more in this position than in their background spot when the card is upright. These symbolize resources–financial, inner, any kind that lead to a change in fortune, whether internal such as self-worth or outer such as new job, etc. A perfect card to appear on this week of Thanksgiving where we acknowledge our gratitude for all our blessings.
