Weekly Tarot Card – Page of Wands

Are you like this handsome dandy? All dressed up and no place to go? Although his clothing matches the colors of the arid backdrop, his demeanor seems out of place in this dry desert. Clearly he has other ideas as he gazes at the green leaves sprouting from his walking stick. His cloak of salamanders belies an adventurous spirit lusting for change. He will make the most of what’s ahead of him.

You should too! Now’s the time to move forward on inspirations, ideas, passions. You are meant to seek your fortune with a happy and confident heart.

Weekly Tarot Card – Ten of Wands

Tens in Tarot signify completion. In this card we see a fellow carrying ten wands. His head is bent and he is hard at work. He is so in earnest that we doubt he sees the beautiful house in the distance which we presume is his destination. Perseverance and patience is his modus operandi. Sure it gets the job done but because we don’t see his face there is a feeling of burden and effort that supersedes any hint of celebration. Perhaps the message here is to learn for next time how to delegate responsibilities so one can enjoy the journey along the way. Good advice for anyone before starting the next passion play.

Weekly Tarot Card – Five of Wands

Is it a battle? Is it a game? A competition? Five young men in different colored attire raising their wands with energy and passion. No one looks to be injured but if wands were opinions we could hear the noise. When we are so engrossed in our individual expressions how can we hear what the other people have to say? For a civil society, what good can come from that? The message here is a support of diversity. When we are truly confident in our opinions we don’t feel threatened by differences and can allow for a frank and easy sharing. After all, the end game isn’t to get others to necessarily agree with your opinion but rather to have them hear you express it. They are free to make their own decisions as you are free to make yours.

Weekly Tarot Card – The Lovers

IMG_3298A naked man and woman looking very much like Adam and Eve face each other separated by a phallic mountain behind them. They stand on a verdant bank. Behind the woman is the tree of knowledge with a snake circling around the trunk gazing curiously at the woman, perhaps waiting for the right moment to entice her to try one of the delicious apples. Behind the man is a tree with fiery leaves. Passion is his as knowledge is hers. These are the choices for each of them. The man looks at the woman, the woman looks up towards the heavens. What will bring these two together? How will the choose to cross the divide? Choice is the crux of the matter with the Lovers in Tarot. After all they are building a relationship. What kind of relationship will this be? A bright sun shines above. The Angel Gabriel appears out of the clouds in the blue sky with a blessing. He encourages the two to appeal to their higher nature and marry the divine spirit with earthly passion as they make their way on the earthly plane. In this time of crisis when we are faced with a mindset of lack and confusion, we are called to calm ourselves, look within, listen to the still voice of our soul. Be safe. Be healthy. Be strong. Believe. Namaste.

Weekly Tarot Card – The Lovers

IMG_1412 2The naked man and woman looking a lot like Adam and Eve stand in the foreground as the Angel Gabriel gives his blessing. A radiant sun shines over the scene. And a mountain peak rises between the two. Passion, an angel’s blessing, the combination of earthly delights and the divine. It’s interesting to note the man gazes at the woman and the woman looks up at the angel. Is she the element that provides the link between earth and heaven? Is this perhaps an apologia after the downfall of Eden with the snake and the apple and the loss of innocence…

This week pay attention to your relationships, romantic or otherwise, and find a way to honor and respect the special union of like minds.
