Weekly Tarot Card – Queen of Swords

This queen has very good posture. She sits upright in her throne with angel and butterfly carvings. Her cloak is blue with puffs of white clouds and her crown is of golden butterflies. Angels are messengers of divine wisdom and butterflies catalogue the metamorphosis of inspirational growth. She holds a sword upright in her right hand and extends her left hand in a gesture of grace. Judgement and mercy melded in her pronouncements. She is just in her assessment of our efforts and encourages us to use our thoughts wisely. Be fair, honest, good and true in all our endeavors and we will fly like the bird up above.

Weekly Tarot Card – King of Wands Reversed

The visionary leader is upside down. There’s a snag in the burgeoning plans set in motion last week. We were all so excited with Mercury no longer in retrograde. But alas we need to be clear-sighted and more deliberate with our passions. The fire of ambition is a great motivator but we don’t want to burn out before we get going and we don’t want to align ourselves with stratagems that are too far out of bounds. Let us balance and put right the energies of fire to make slow burning embers. Some kindling will soon become ablaze.

Weekly Tarot Card – Page of Pentacles

Mercury has gone direct. Yay! Only four other planets still slogging their way through the universe in retrograde. We continue to look back and review, reset and refresh. Although we might still feel underwater from the virus, this young page appears in our field to offer a gold coin. The light from the coin illuminates the atmosphere, shining its golden rays on the verdant landscape of trees, flowers, mountains and fields. So much gold and green with a touch of blue. Opportunity is in the air. Carpe diem!

Weekly Tarot Card – Five of Wands

Everybody has an opinion and each of us wants to be heard. But if we’re all talking at once we can’t be heard and we can’t hear others. It’s time to play like the grownups in the room. Free speech is only free if we act with civility. How about we agree to let each person speak. Then, even before the discourse begins, we won’t act in fear and feel the need to rush in and voice our expressions. We will go around the room in an orderly fashion confident in the knowledge that we will be heard and we will hear others. Conflict has no place in mindful expression. You can be true to your position and appreciate diversity. Who knows, you might learn something new or change your mind!

Weekly Tarot Card – The Star

Things in the world were looking pretty bleak and it was difficult to find a light at the end of the tunnel. Then this lovely card with its message of hope and inspiration filtered in to bring us off the ledge. How can we be like this beautiful woman, tending to her jugs of water which replenish the verdant landscape of flowers in the peace and calm of star shine? True, we are in a difficult time with six planets in retrograde, a worldwide pandemic, social unrest. But let us remember that the Star appears in the Tarot deck after the Tower where destruction and turmoil occur. We will emerge from the crisis with a new sense of self divinely inspired and energized with beneficial purpose for all. Follow the light and act in love.
