Weekly Tarot Card – The Hanged Man Reversed

In its upright position, this card shows a man hanging upside down from a tree. Interesting to note the card is called “The Hanged Man” not “The Hanging Man” which seems to imply that he has completed “dying” to his old self and hangs in the interim waiting for the reveal of a new body. The message is surrender to the now and look at things from a different angle, sacrifice old beliefs in order to gain new insights.

In this week’s pull the card appears in its reversed position, meaning the man is hanging no more. He is ready to step back into the world with new understandings and a different bearing. The halo around his head illumines his path forward into a new day.

It’s time to return from your period of retreat. Use the information gained from the different perspective and value what your surrender and sacrifice has taught you. Bring these qualities into the world to contribute to the benefit of all.

Weekly Tarot Card – Wheel of Fortune

Are you lucky? Do you feel in control of your life? Or do you see yourself as a victim of circumstance, wondering how to change the course of your life? From a distance this Wheel of Fortune looks like a bright orange sun in a blue sky where puffy clouds serve as bedding for winged creatures who like to read books. Those four winged creatures represent the fixed signs of the Zodiac (Angel/Aquarius, Eagle/Scorpio, Lion/Leo, Bull/Taurus) and are presumably reading the Torah, the Book of Knowledge. Sure, there are some odd figures too–a snake who apparently represents Typhon, the Egyptian God of the Evil, Anubis, the Egyptian God of the Dead and a Sphinx up top symbolizing knowledge and strength. On the Wheel itself are Hebrew Letters for God and TORA (Torah?) plus a few alchemical symbols. What’s it all mean and what’s it got to do with you and this week? The Wheel of Fortune is always turning and in the midst of change there are always angels with knowledge to keep you grounded and help you adapt, expand and grow. Cosmic consciousness will serve up answers if one is open to receiving them. Be steady, be ready, and know that what goes around comes around, so be kind and loving.
