Weekly Tarot Card – Wheel of Fortune

Are you lucky? Do you feel in control of your life? Or do you see yourself as a victim of circumstance, wondering how to change the course of your life? From a distance this Wheel of Fortune looks like a bright orange sun in a blue sky where puffy clouds serve as bedding for winged creatures who like to read books. Those four winged creatures represent the fixed signs of the Zodiac (Angel/Aquarius, Eagle/Scorpio, Lion/Leo, Bull/Taurus) and are presumably reading the Torah, the Book of Knowledge. Sure, there are some odd figures too–a snake who apparently represents Typhon, the Egyptian God of the Evil, Anubis, the Egyptian God of the Dead and a Sphinx up top symbolizing knowledge and strength. On the Wheel itself are Hebrew Letters for God and TORA (Torah?) plus a few alchemical symbols. What’s it all mean and what’s it got to do with you and this week? The Wheel of Fortune is always turning and in the midst of change there are always angels with knowledge to keep you grounded and help you adapt, expand and grow. Cosmic consciousness will serve up answers if one is open to receiving them. Be steady, be ready, and know that what goes around comes around, so be kind and loving.

“What goes up must come down
Spinnin’ wheel got to go ’round
Talkin’ ’bout your troubles it’s a cryin’ sin
Ride a painted pony let the spinnin’ wheel spin…

This week watch for any changes and disruptions to expected schedules. There will be some disappointments, some unexpected postponements and maybe some change of plans. The challenge is to go with the flow, remember that nothing stays the same, enjoy the good times because fortunes change and remember that bad times don’t last forever. There is always a silver lining…keep a positive mindset and go looking for the sun behind the clouds. Maybe now is a good time to observe how you deal with frustration and challenges? How do you behave when things do not go your way? Do you stomp around and curse the heavens? Do you give up and go in a corner and pout? Observe yourself and make a note of your pattern and then decide if maybe you’d like to make an adjustment. Winged creatures are around to help you. Some call them angels.
